Credits Policy

This Credits Policy ("Policy") governs the acquisition, use, expiration, and non-refundability of credits ("Credits") within the Laper platform. By purchasing or otherwise acquiring Credits, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy, which forms part of the Laper Terms of Service.

1. Definitions

• "Credits" means the virtual currency used within the Laper platform to access AI-powered features and premium services.
• "User," "you," or "your" refers to any individual or entity that creates an account and uses Laper services.
• "Platform" refers to the Laper website, applications, and related services.
• "Subscription" means a recurring payment plan that provides Credits on a periodic basis.

2. Nature of Credits

2.1 Virtual Currency

Credits are a virtual currency with no cash value outside the Laper Platform. Credits:

• Are licensed to you, not sold
• Have no equivalent value in real-world currency
• Cannot be exchanged for cash, gift cards, or any other form of monetary compensation
• Are non-transferable between user accounts
• May only be used for services within the Laper Platform

2.2 No Property Rights

You acknowledge and agree that you have no ownership interest, property right, or other legal claim to Credits. Laper reserves the right to manage, regulate, control, modify, and/or eliminate Credits at its sole discretion, subject to applicable law.

3. Acquisition of Credits

3.1 Methods of Acquisition

Credits may be acquired through the following methods:

• Direct Purchase: One-time credit pack purchases via the Platform
• Subscription Plans: Periodic allocation of Credits included with paid subscription tiers (Senior/Master)
• Promotional Grants: Credits awarded through marketing promotions, referral programs, or surveys
• Administrative Grants: Credits issued by Laper at its discretion for customer support or goodwill purposes

3.2 Credit Pack Pricing

Credit packs are offered at prices displayed at the time of purchase. Laper reserves the right to modify pricing at any time without prior notice. Any price changes will not affect previously completed purchases.

3.3 Subscription Credits

• Senior Plan: Includes daily and monthly credit allocations as specified in the plan description
• Master Plan: Includes enhanced daily and monthly credit allocations as specified in the plan description
• Subscription credits are granted at the beginning of each billing period and are subject to expiration as outlined in Section 5

4. Use of Credits

4.1 Authorized Uses

Credits may be used to:

• Access AI-powered screenplay writing features
• Generate character profiles, story outlines, and dialogue suggestions
• Utilize advanced editing and collaboration tools
• Access other premium features as designated by Laper

4.2 Credit Consumption

Credit consumption varies by feature and usage. The current credit cost for each feature is displayed within the Platform interface before consumption. Laper may adjust credit costs at any time with reasonable notice.

4.3 Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Sell, trade, or transfer Credits to third parties
• Use Credits for any illegal purpose
• Manipulate or exploit the credit system through bots, scripts, or other automated means
• Create multiple accounts to abuse promotional credit offers

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account and forfeiture of all Credits without refund.

5. Expiration of Credits

5.1 Purchased Credits

Credits acquired through direct purchase ("Purchased Credits") do not expire as long as your account remains active and in good standing.

5.2 Subscription Credits

Credits granted through subscription plans ("Subscription Credits"):

• Are valid only during the active subscription period
• Expire at the end of each billing cycle if unused
• Do not roll over to subsequent billing periods
• Are forfeited immediately upon cancellation or non-renewal of the subscription

5.3 Promotional Credits

Credits received through promotions ("Promotional Credits"):

• Are subject to expiration dates specified at the time of grant
• Typically expire within 30-90 days of issuance unless otherwise stated
• Are the first Credits consumed when using Platform features (before Purchased Credits)

5.4 Credit Consumption Order

When Credits are consumed, they are deducted in the following order:

1. Promotional Credits (earliest expiration first)
2. Subscription Credits
3. Purchased Credits

6. No Refund Policy

6.1 General Non-Refundability

ALL CREDIT PURCHASES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. By purchasing Credits, you acknowledge and agree that:

• No refunds will be provided for any reason, including but not limited to:
  • Unused Credits at the time of account closure
  • Dissatisfaction with Platform features or services
  • Changes to credit pricing or feature costs
  • Technical issues that are promptly resolved
  • Voluntary or involuntary account termination
• This no-refund policy applies regardless of the payment method used

6.2 Subscription Refunds

For subscription plans:

• Refunds are not available for partial billing periods
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• You retain access to subscription benefits until the end of the paid period
• No prorated refunds are issued for early cancellation

6.3 Exceptions

Refunds may only be considered in the following exceptional circumstances, at Laper's sole discretion:

• Duplicate charges caused by technical errors on Laper's end
• Fraudulent transactions reported within 48 hours of occurrence
• Legally mandated refunds required by applicable consumer protection laws

To request review of an exceptional circumstance, contact support@laper.ai within 48 hours of the transaction.

6.4 Waiver of Chargeback Rights

By agreeing to this Policy, you waive the right to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes for credit purchases except in cases of unauthorized transactions. Initiating a chargeback in violation of this provision may result in:

• Immediate account suspension
• Forfeiture of all Credits and subscription benefits
• Collection action for the disputed amount plus fees
• Permanent ban from the Platform

7. Account Termination

7.1 Voluntary Termination

If you choose to close your account:

• All remaining Credits (purchased, subscription, and promotional) are immediately forfeited
• No refunds or compensation will be provided
• This action is irreversible

7.2 Involuntary Termination

Laper reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violation of Terms of Service or this Policy
• Fraudulent activity or abuse of the credit system
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Any other reason at Laper's discretion

In cases of involuntary termination due to user misconduct, all Credits are forfeited without refund.

8. Modifications to This Policy

Laper reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes will be:

• Posted on the Platform with an updated "Last Updated" date
• Notified via email for material changes affecting your rights
• Effective 30 days after posting (or immediately if required by law)

Continued use of Credits after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• Laper's liability for any claims arising from Credits is limited to the amount you paid for the specific Credits in question
• Laper is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Laper is not responsible for unauthorized access to your account or misuse of Credits by third parties

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Policy is governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Any disputes arising from this Policy shall be resolved through:

1. Informal Resolution: Good faith negotiation via support@laper.ai
2. Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration under [Arbitration Rules]
3. Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class actions
